Created during the summer of 2020, Little Adventures was a heartwarming campaign designed to inspire families to plan their next Scottish daytrip as lockdown restrictions began to ease. The animation follows two children, Hannah and Jack, as they reimagine real Scottish locations through the lens of childlike wonder — transforming landmarks into rocket ships, giants, and fantastical playgrounds.
Working alongside another animator, I was responsible for the complete 3D build of the animated storybook that serves as the central visual device, as well as compositing the 2D character animations seamlessly into the finished film. The result was a richly layered, imaginative journey that combined VisitScotland’s regional photography with playful visual storytelling, bringing a sense of magic and optimism to a challenging moment for the tourism industry.
