Roll on Jersey Royal Season

To mark the start of the Jersey Royal potato season, the brand wanted a campaign that would be playful, memorable, and impossible to miss in high-traffic locations. The creative idea was to turn London Underground escalators into rolling hills, with potatoes tumbling down alongside commuters.

I designed and animated a looping 3D simulation of Jersey Royal potatoes bouncing and rolling naturally down a slope. Careful attention was given to scale, lighting, and motion so the animation felt tactile and believable — while still keeping a sense of fun.

The animation was displayed on escalator screens in key London Underground stations, catching the eye of thousands of commuters each day. Its lighthearted tone and large-scale placement made it a standout seasonal promotion, perfectly capturing the character of the Jersey Royal brand.
