Catalyst FPV Fly-Through

An immersive FPV tour through Catalyst’s new Dalgety Bay headquarters.

We created a dynamic FPV fly-through capturing every corner of the University’s sprawling campus — from the central atrium and library to labs, lecture halls, sports facilities, and even student accommodation. Gliding indoors and out, across ponds, bridges, and open spaces, the film gave prospective students a seamless, immersive look at campus life — all in a single journey.

The Process

Following a recce, we planned a flight path through the building and broke the route into sections, allowing each area to be carefully choreographed around the drone. Timing was key, with doors, machinery, forklifts and team movements all coordinated to bring the space to life as the camera travelled through.

I handled the FPV flying and worked closely with the Digital Triangle team throughout the planning and shoot to find routes and transitions that would connect the different spaces naturally.

The Final Film

The finished film transforms the FPV journey into an immersive tour of the Catalyst HQ, moving seamlessly between offices, production areas and warehouse spaces. Digital Triangle’s edit and tracked motion graphics highlight key features of the facility as the camera travels through the building.

FPV allowed us to connect these very different environments in a way that wouldn’t be possible with a traditional camera setup — flying through doorways, around machinery and alongside the Catalyst team to give a real sense of the scale and activity within the space.
